St Cathryn’s news

2016-11-16 06:02

GOLF was used over the weekend to build gees and spanbou in our farmers’ association, not that gees and spanbou is lacking in our community.

It was the Kranskop Farmers’ Associations annual 9 hole fun golf day and fund-raiser for Golf 911 centre. When there is talent found in the golfers and this talent is not developed, it would be a sad day for golf, but on the other hand, sometimes it is better to leave that talent untapped.

On the other hand some of the pupils helping at the fun day showed promising talent.

The farmers took to the course in a three ball alliance format and were placed with a St Cathryn’s golf member.

While the men “played” golf the ladies of the district were having fun painting pottery pieces that Gertie had supplied, and we enjoyed the afternoon chatting and laughing with our neighbours. The golf day was rounded off with a dinner and a great deal of stories about the golf rounds played.
