FARMERS Agri-care Monthly Mug will be played on February 24, but the Bruce Paterson Better Ball competition planned for Sunday has been postponed to a later date.

We invite all registered golfers to come and play in the mug, and if Medal competition is not your game, you are welcome to enter only the individual stable ford.

If you are not a member of St Cathryn’s, you can still qualify to win the mug.

Carts are welcome on the course.

The welcome rains that have fallen over the past weeks and the hot temperatures, have set the grass in growing mode, and the green keeper is trying his best to stay ahead of this fast growing grass.

The main dam is still only 10% full and that is the reason that we are not open for fishing.

The smaller dam is fed by a spring and is filling up, and being re-stocked with tilapia by the local fishermen.

In March the golfing calendar is busy, with the Farmers Agri-care monthly mug set for the 10th; the Triangular against Mandeni and Darnall for the 11th and on the 17th and 18th, the popular Arcadia golf days to be played over two courses — Greytown and St Cathryn’s (at the time of going to press we are awaiting confirmation from Mandeni and Darnall and they in turn are waiting for the Zululand golfing fixtures to be confirmed as those two clubs play under the Zululand league fixtures).

All those who would like to play in the Monthly Mug, please contact Piet: 083 269 1661.
