Third Inkosi Bhambatha ANC BGM in dispute

2018-05-09 06:02

YET a third Inkosi Bhambatha region branch general meeting has resulted in dispute with Umvoti deputy mayor Nomvula Maskikane being accused of “manipulating ANC processes to give her faction an advantage at the BGM”.

A dispute has been lodged by branch members to challenge the results of the meeting in Ward 5 Kranskop, claiming that many members in good standing were not allowed to participate in the meeting.

Bongikosi Chonco, leader of the branch interim structure said that at a branch meeting last month it had been decided it would not hold its BGM due to the many disputes in regard to the membership roll.

There were many members in good standing whose name did not appear on the membership roll, duplication of names and proof of payment queries.

It was further stated that Masikane had called the meeting without consulting the interim structure and had not notified all branch members about the meeting. ANC Regional secretary Bheki Lembede said that members were free to lodge disputes and that the dispute resolution committee would deal with the matter.
