This affects you — important meeting

2018-03-07 06:00

MANY Greytonians have recognised the importance of being a member of a neighbourhood watch, with crime-prevention and security alerts appearing on social media. Members are alerted of suspicious vehicles, individuals, whether there has been a break in, lost dogs, car accidents, etc.

Through these alerts, the required action — security, police, ambulance, traffic control, fire brigade, etc. can be put into operation.

All residents are therefore encouraged to attend the neighbourhood watch meeting on Wednesday March 7, at 6.30 pm at the community hall in Cathcart Street.

It is a known crime-prevention fact that through community members standing together and working with the various security agencies, crime can be reduced and the town and surrounds made safer for all.
