ON Friday Tholinhlanhla Primary School held a memorial service for Winnie Madikizela-Mandela.
Teachers and pupils gathered for a prayer and pupils delivered speeches about mama Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, who was bold and beautiful.

Invited guests mama Girly Ngcobo who opened with a prayer and Mamsie Mkhize talked about the South African flag which was flying half-mast in honour of mama Winnie and the importance of a social worker in the community.

Female teachers and pupils wore “doeks” in respect as mama Winnie did.
