Three more Seven Oaks suspects arrested

2015-12-16 06:00

A FURTHER three suspects, linked to last month's Seven Oaks shoot-out and armed robbery, have been arrested.

On 9 December police arrested three suspects aged between 21 and 32 and recovered an unlicensed firearm as well as 78 rounds of ammunition in KwaMashu Hostel, Durban.

MEC Mchunu praised the police's reaction, saying their actions and bravery illustrates in no uncertain terms that the South African Police Service is more than capable of dealing with brazen suspects and fighting crime in the province.

Mchunu reiterated that the police and provincial government had a tight security plan to deal with crime beyond and ahead the festive season, where criminals are hell-bent on causing havoc.
