WARRIORS and maidens gathered in the Msengeni area at Ngome near Greytown to dance and chant slogans during a traditional Zulu ceremony called uMemulo on 27 December, 2015.

The main objective of the ceremony is held to honour a girl child for good behaviour in her childhood.

Three sisters - Fiko (24), Lungelo (18) and Nokuthula "Gqu" (15) Sithole - were honored by their parents and received their blessings. Many people from areas around Msinga attended the function. - Andile Ngubane.
