Tribute to Mrs Fikile Abigail Zondi

THE late Mrs Fikile Abigail Zondi passed away on January 29, at the age of 58. She was the principal of Khulani Primary School in Msinga. After matric, she studied for her teacher’s diploma at Mpumalanga College of Education, continued to do a degree in art at Eshowe followed a Bachelor of Arts degree through Unisa. She then completed her management degree at Potchefstroom University. Mrs Zondi was an active member of the Ethiopian Church and was known for her humility and generosity, both at school and in the community. She started her teaching career at Nongoma and taught at Lwazi Primary and then at Khulani Primary, where she was promoted to the position of principal. She leaves behind her husband Mr Dee Zondi, sons Mxolisi and Nkosinathi, and granddaughter Senamile. She was laid to rest at her home at Latha Village after a church service attended by hundreds of mourners held at the Ethiopian Church at the weekend.
