FRIENDS and former colleagues of a man who died in a car accident in Greytown on January 13 sent their condolences to his family.

Phineas “Fana” Ngubane died at the scene, two others died later in hospital and other passengers sustained injuries after a taxi collided head-on with a light motor vehicle.

In a joint statement issued by the Howe family, Cheeky Howe said: “It is with great sadness in our hearts that we bid farewell to our friend and long time colleague, Phineas “Fana” Ngubane.

“Ngubane joined the family business in 1997 and worked with us up until last year, when he retired. He was a pillar of strength and was part of our family. Our sincere condolences to the Ngubane family in this sad time. The Howe family; myself, Dennis, Barry, Lyrelle, Lukas, Sebastian, Marius, Chantell, Shaun, and Chloe; will miss him.” — Supplied.
