THE uMshwathi Municipality held an HIV/Aids crusade at Trust Feed in Ward 9 to which residents of all its wards were invited.

Ward 9 Councillor Fastiz Mbongwe thanked the government departments for the work they were doing to improve the life of the people. He said uMshwathi was committed to helping the community but the people also had to do their share in supporting the services made available.
He urged those present to show their appreciation of what was being offered by having with the various tests being offered by the departments present.

Sister Nzama who works at uMshwathi Department of Correctional Services assured people that all males and females serving their sentences underwent testing and had access to medication.
Mr Mchunu males to go for medical circumcision explaining it was carried out professionally and safely. He appealed to parents to allow their sons to be circumcised as long as they were over 12.
