KARATE continues to develop strongly in Greytown with the Umvoti Karate Academy being recognised by businesses prepared to sponsor and Umvoti Municipality.

Sensei Sbonelo Mkhize, head instructor, told the Greytown Gazette that he was very happy with the growth of karate and the academy.

Twenty three Umvoti Karate pundits, including the technical team, are taking part in the All Africa Tournament in Cape Town from July 12 to 16.

The committed members of the team have been training every day to ensure they do their very best in the tournament.

There are five champions in the team who will be fighting to move up to their next level.

The Greytown Gazette wishes them a positive and winning tournament.
