uMzinyathi District Municipality debt collection

2017-02-08 06:03

uMzinyathi officially engaged the services of Tsotetsi & Mchunu Attorneys to assist as debt collectors as of December 2016.
This comes after the municipality has been greatly affected by a low collection rate these past couple of years.

The low collection rate
affects the municipality
negatively because the money collected helps with the
maintenance of infrastructure, the maintenance and replacement of faulty meters, and the buying of equipment to assist in producing safe drinking water and fixing sewer blockages.

Communities are urged to pay their accounts on time, or to come to our offices to make payment arrangements to settle their accounts.”
- uMzinyathi District Municipality.
