‘We lost but we learnt from our mistakes’

DYNAMOS Football Club participated in the SAB Provincial playoffs in Port Shepstone last week where the team from Tugela Ferry represented the Umzinyathi District and Msinga community.

The team lost their first game 4-0 and their second game was also a loss (3-0). In the last match, the team managed to score one goal.

The team’s public relations officer, Mfundo Dlamini, told the Gazette: “We were competing with senior soccer players. We lost all our games. We learnt from our mistakes.”

Dynamos FC are the champions of 2019/2020 U21 Regional Playoffs after the team won 2-1 in the finals against 2012 Crusaders FC at King Edward Park on June 2.

In the semi-finals, played on Saturday, June 1, Cosmos won 3-0 against Amatimatolo Junior Stars and Lions Chiefs lost to Real Kings 4-1. In the finals, Cosmos won 2-0 against Real Kings. In the semi-finals on Sunday, Crusaders FC won 2-0 against Running Water FC and the Dynamos FC beat Citizen FC 2-1.

Dlamini appealed to supporters to rally behind the team in their next games.
