ON Friday, 11 November, the Grade 2 class went on a food outing around Greytown. We enjoyed a stop at the 5 Star Bakery where Mr Dede showed us how a bakery mixes dough and how long it takes to make bread - the smell was heavenly.

Along with that, we got to see how a special machine made small buns. Afterwards we popped off to the Aheers Supermarket Butchery. Mr Aheer showed us around the butchery and how some of the equipment works. We learnt about the different kinds of meat in the butchery and the shop.

With all the excitement of going on the outing, we became a bit thirsty and ended the day off at Wimpy for a milkshake. The Grade 2 pupils would like to thank Mr Dede and Mr Aheer for allowing us a look inside the bakery and the butchery. We learnt a lot.

Qwyn Francis swam three races in the Pietermaritzburg Challenge on Saturday. He received two gold medals and one silver. Well done.

Lastly, Wembley College extends a great vote of thanks to the PA for their generous donation of large play balls that will be used for ball skills.
