ON Saturday 19 November, Wembley College hosted the annual fun Colour Run fund-raiser.
The event was a great success with 272 participants enjoying a colourful, fun-filled morning of exercise, 42 more than last year.
Participants were able to choose between a two kilometre and five kilometre route, both of which boasted spectacular views of the surrounding farmland, not to mention the wild life that runs around in the forest.
If you kept your eyes open, you may have seen reedbuck, duiker, hares, vervet monkeys as well as an abundant variety of bird life. This event raised money, which will go towards the hockey tours next year that will take place at St Dominic’s Academy in Newcastle. Thank you to the members of the Wembley family and others who supported this fund-raiser.

Congratulations to Wembley College for winning the Books 2 You Carnival Reading competition. Wembley received a wonderful prize of R2 000 worth of books for the library. A big thank you to Books 2 You.

Simply Cricket will be hosting a cricket clinic at Wembley College on 5 and 6 December from 9am to 4pm on the 5 December and 9am to 12pm on 6 December. Cost will be R500.

The board and school management are excited to announce that Monique van de Merwe will be joining the senior primary phase as the Grade 5 registered teacher next year.
She has completed her B.Ed Intermediate Phase degree, doing her practical teaching in our phase and so far she has achieved a distinction in all her yearly results.

We know she will be a worthy asset to our phase.

Wembley College, the board and the staff would like to thank you for the year. We hope that the Wembley families will have a blessed time together.
