THE Form 2s were given a ICT assignment to complete for this term.

Each pupil was given a topic from the ICT handbook to do research about, summarise it and then present it to the class for marks.

Topics from hardware, software, expert systems, hacking and the impacts of ICT in our daily lives were covered. The class used this opportunity as a way of getting some necessary revision done before their exams started. Afterwards pupils presenting could then ask the class questions about their topic to see if they had been listening.
The presentations were amazing and slide transitions and image animations flowed beautifully across the white screen - the Form 2s outdid themselves. Sarah Barber attended the 2017 Menlopark Athletics Trials at Maritzburg College on Saturday, 2 September.

These trials are attended by U14-U18 athletes from around the province out of which a Grey-Menlo team is selected. They then compete at the Grey-Bloem invitation athletics meeting which will be held on 14 October. Sarah achieved the following results: long jump - second, 200m, discus and javelin - fourth as well as a fifth place in the 500m. She was also pleased to set her personal best time in the 200m event.

While we were all taking a mid-term break, Sarah also attended a pitch and vision cricket camp at the High Performance Centre at the University of Pretoria.

The camp consisted of three days of intensive training with 18 girls attending. We wish Sarah all the best as she continues to pursue her cricket goals.
