Thanks to the contributions of various fundraising initiatives by Wembley, the science lab has now acquired a brand new dishwasher.

This is an incredible development which means that scholars will be able to have more regular formal and informal experiments during class since the turnaround time between experiments is greatly reduced.

On behalf on the science department, we would like to thank everyone for this significant contribution to the school.

The tiniest of us all, the Wombles, enjoyed their very first school Valentine’s day last week. They looked adorable in red, white and pink. They made charming heart hats and even enjoyed a love themed Baker-Baker treat. Just before the start of the midterm break, Wembley's GrR-Gr3 children each received a participation medal and marched around the pool to “Stand up for the Champions”.

We were thankful for the good swimming weather. We would like to congratulate the winning house, Eagles, on winning the JP Fun Gala.

Well done to the Falcons for winning the Spirit trophy, we loved your enthusiasm. Medha Aheer was awarded with the title of Most Improved Swimmer. Keep it up! The heroes of the day were definitely the parents who swam the 25m relay with the children — we salute you. Also on the sporting front, we would like to congratulate Sarah Barber, who was selected to represent the Circuit team in the uMgungundlovu School Athletics Championships on Friday 16 February. She represented the circuit team in long jump, 100m and 200m events. Sarah came 1st in Long Jump and 2nd in 100m. Lastly, we would also like to congratulate John Yeadon and Ntando Ngcobo who have been selected for the PMB East and invitational teams respectively.
