THERE has been an excited buzz in and around Mrs van Zuydam’s classroom.

Wembley College is incredibly excited to have been sponsored a superb set of marimbas and we wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Deon and Esther van Rooyen, true lovers of music and philanthropists of the arts, for this extremely generous contribution.

The benefits of marimbas are going to be huge for our school and we are so delighted to be giving the opportunity to each child, from Grade three up, to learn to play the marimbas. The senior primary phase plan to bring marimbas into their class music lessons, and the high school, as well as the Grade threes, have the chance of joining an afternoon club. High school sessions will be held on Wednesday afternoons from 2.15 pm to 3 pm. If you would like to join please send a note to your child’s class teacher.
