ON February 11 and February 12, Wembley College senior primary and high school pupils participated in the Speech and Drama Festival in the Aloe Hall at Wembley.

A total of 78 Wembley pupils participated in individual submissions and there were 30 group submissions. The top results were 17 A+s and 42 As.

The pupils who participated showed courage and commitment to their work, attaining a high level of performance.

The adjudicator, Ann Walmsley, chose pupils to perform at the annual Golden Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, February 18 at the school. We are grateful to both our external adjudicator and to Delia Dreyer who was the scribe for the day.

The Golden Awards in the Wembley Aloe Hall was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended. The entrance fee was a charity donation. It was very gratifying to see confident and talented scholars perform. — Supplied.
