CONGRATULATIONS to Greytonian Jacquie Minnaar on been selected for the World Cup Polocrosse team to play in Australia in 2019.

Jacquie, the daughter of Jacques and Caroline Minnaar, a former pupil of Wembley College and currently a matric pupil at GHS Pietermaritzburg, has been riding from the time she could walk.

She played for the U14 national polocrosse team at the age of 10 and the senior national team at 16. In April she toured to Australia as a reserve for the ladies Protea side.

Her determination and riding skills as well as her exceptional talent as a polocrosse player has led to Jacquie being selected for the World Cup team - only four ladies and four men are selected from each country.

South Africa is the current World Cup winners for the second time.
