A pharmacy that cares ADVERTORIAL

2015-10-13 06:00

LINK Hills Pharmacy has met the health care needs of the upper highway for nearly 50 years.

Pauline Randles and her team focus on “prevention rather than cure”. She said: “In today’s rat race, we forget that our bodies are finely balanced and modern lifestyles play a big role in creating disease. “Diabetes and heart concerns as other chronic diseases are on the rise and if we take time to understand our bodies and what they need, as well as the warning signs, we can do a lot to delay or prevent illness ourselves.” Sisters Sylvia Williams and Nicole Blackburn offer screening tests at the pharmacy between 8am and 6pm weekdays as well as first and last Saturday mornings per month.

Other services on offer include a slimming clinic and dietician, podiatrist, reflexologist, and audiologist. Bone density tests are done by appointment and Sylvia is a trained trigger point massager to help release muscle spasms and pain.

Family planning and pap smears and as child immunisations are also services in demand at the pharmacy.

“We are passionate about health and wellness and take time to get to the root cause of why you are sick rather than just giving you a pill to pop to get rid of symptoms,” added Pauline.

“I am excited to see new faces daily as more people move into our area. Waterfall is no longer a one horse town!”

She has extended her opening hours to 5pm on weekends to match that of Pick ‘n Pay next door.

The pharmacy is open 7 to 7 on weekdays. 30 day accounts are available for convenience and on Tuesdays pensioners get 5-10% off on selected items.

The pharmacy has a delivery service with all prescription meds delivered free in the area.
