Burnt body found, information sought

HILLCREST detectives are appealing to anyone who can assist them in an inquest case.

Hillcrest SAPS communications officer, Constable N. Manqele said on Saturday 1 August police attended the complaint of a dead body in the Hillcrest area.

“Upon arrival police found a burnt human skeleton in the sugar-cane field. The body was found by a sugar-cane worker and he contacted the police,” he said.

Upon further investigation the police found long female hair next to the skull. The victim was wearing blue jeans with cream boots.

An inquest case was reported at the Hillcrest police for further investigation. Anyone who might have information regarding this case can contact Detective Constable Myeni on 073 073 0890. - Supplied
