WATERFALL Crime Watch has started the community- assist initiative to bring about some relief to those in need.

Steven King from the organisation says there are so many residents in dire straits, especially the aged, who just can't get by with the little pension they get.

“We are currently looking after needy families in the Waterfall and Crestholme area and ask people, who would like to donate food and unwanted items, to contact us,” he said.

King gave a special thank you to Des and Shaun Quin from Waterfall Spar who offered assistance on this project.

Anyone willing to assist, must call King on 082 920 5799.
