Damage to UKZN’s reputation Damage to UKZN’s reputation

2015-09-29 06:00

AS a Grade 11 student at a local high school I have been very disappointed by the recent protest behaviour of UKZN students that has resulted in the costly damage to the various campuses.

My fellow pupils and I will soon be having to make a choice about which university to attend after school. The recent havoc at UKZN makes one think twice about making a local campus a first choice for study after school.

We live in a country where places at institutions of higher education are highly sought after. The attitude of destroying the very places where one expects to receive an education is bewildering to say the least.

The trashing of educational facilities by students not only damages buildings but also does irreparable damage to the reputation of the institution for future potential learners.
