WATERFALL Crime Watch has been registered with the SAPS as a CPF sub- forum as well as the official neighbourhood watch for Waterfall 2.

The committee comprises the following members and is available to assist with any community related problem - chairperson: Roxanne Glanz, co-chair: Dane Lee, secretary: Michelle Elva Lee, treasurer: Robert Raymond Glanz and operations: Steven King.

Speaking to the Fever on behalf of Waterfall Crime Watch Steven King said: “We have a good working relationship with all emergency services, including Hillcrest SAPS, Metro Police, Vema, CEMS, ER24, Meditecg ER, Missing Children SA, SPCA, Care Line, Eventus Investigations and the rescue and disaster team. “Our main sponsor is Secure Link,” said King.

“We have also forged a working relationship with the residents of WF1 and Brackehill and will be doing combined patrols.”

King appealed to communities to work together. “We appeal to communities of these areas to come on board and join us in our fight against crime. We also appeal to businesses who operate in WF to join us by supporting us financially by making donations that will be used to buy much-needed equipment,” he said.

“We are looking into the viability of putting up cameras at hot spots as well as getting thermal vision binoculars and other equipment needed. “We will be doing a membership drive in due course where we will be going house to house to sign up members.”

King reiterated that the organisation recently launched its panic button project in partnership with Iceplus and residents can register online at waterfallcrimewatch.iceplus.co. za free of charge.

“We also have a WhatsApp group which is run by chairlady Roxanne on 083 234 4851. BBM: 26C4BC16 or 2B943908. Facebook. Waterfall crime watch,” he said.
