THE Highbury community is overjoyed with the news that Grade 5 pupil, Stuart Camp, was placed first in his level and age category in the Global Association of Japanese Soroban and Mental Arithmetic competition.

This international competition took place in Chennai, India on 30 August. Stuart won the “Champion of Champions” award beating pupils from 12 countries. He is a pupil of Abagility Maths Club in KZN. He has been learning the Japanese Abacus technique for six years and has shown great progress during this time
