UNDER an African Sky, a voluntary association established by Compass Medical Waste Services in 2009, has announced that Nadine Oberholzer is its newest ambassador.

She is the captain of The Sharkettes and owner of Leventus - a model and events management company.

The association, with support of volunteers and sponsors, produces a highly acclaimed, limited-edition calendar which is sold worldwide to raise funds for animal welfare. To date, R1.8 million has been raised by the Under an African Sky calendar campaign with over R1 million donated to the Centre for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (Crow) to assist with its mission of rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing orphaned, injured and displaced wild animals.

The 2016 “Contrasts of Africa” wall calendar, which features black and white images of Africa’s wildlife, is now available to purchase.

Each photograph has been bordered and is logo-free so one can frame the images after use. The A2 wall calendar is printed in matt on high quality paper and presented in a gift box. It retails for R170 each, excluding postage. To place an order, email or phone 031 267 9700 and ask to be put through to Under an African Sky.

“I believe that animals deserve as much love as any human and, with our help, they will be able to have a happy and healthy life within their natural habitat. I believe, as a community, we are all responsible for the care of these wonderful creatures. A little goes a long way and Crow provides an unbelievable home, rehabilitation facility and love to all these beautiful animals,and#034; says Oberholzer.

“I am proud to an ambassador for a campaign which supports the work of Crow.’’
