KLOOF Rest Home Care Centre (KRHCC) recently launched the “Hills Retirement Community” project. KRHCC creative director Jayson Weideman said this has been one of the most exciting projects at the centre. “We have been so excited by developments at Kloof Rest Home. “The past four weeks have seen the launch of a new brand called The Hills Retirement Community, which encompasses all the beautiful retirement villages and care centres under the Kloof Rest Home umbrella.

“It has been created to reflect the beauty of the area and lifestyle of all residents in our villages. This does not affect Kloof Rest Home as it is part of our area and has been for 111 years.”

He said the idea was sparked by chairman, Selwyn Comrie who wanted to bring beautiful villages into the modern era. “Selwyn also wanted to show how retirement villages are vibrant and perfect for modern, retired people. Villages which are part of the brand include Chartwell Estate, Kingfisher Crest, Krantzkloof Park, Green Acres Estate, Kloof Rest Home, Kloof Rest Home Care Centre and Winston Park Care Centre.

Kloof Rest Home will fall under this brand as a retirement village and care centre. “The advantages of associating Kloof Rest Home with the The Hills Retirement Community is that we want to portray a beautiful retirement lifestyle. “This has been the initiative of the committee which is looking to attract a vibrant community in the future and the change is a result of the current community who are living life to the fullest.

“The Kloof Rest Home Care Centre recently hosted an open day which welcomed the family of residents. “We had an opportunity to share our vision and show the families the new branding. “It was a time where we reflected on the past 111 years and the incredible journey the association has been on.”
