Security company protects children

2015-07-28 15:41

ADT Security has assisted Pathways, a centre for children with severe disabilities, since 2002 by providing it with free security, including armed response and monitoring.

In 15 years the school has grown from a group of three children in the Kloof Methodist Church hall, to a multi-racial, multi-cultural facility for 37 children with trained staff in premises in Westville.

This is now the central hub of an operation which has eight schools across South Africa and offers a variety of services to disabled children and their parents.

The school is in the process of building new classrooms and ADT Security is to assist Pathways in conducting a security assessment. It will also install the necessary security products to ensure the campus is totally secure and protected.

Pathways principal, Jenny Head, thanked ADT for its ongoing support.

and#034;I would like to sincerely thank ADT for its generosity. The safety of our children is paramount and having ADT available at all times of the day and night is very comforting. We have children in the school during the day and also in the respite centre at weekends and holidays.and#034;

Rian Buys, ADT Securityand#039;s KZN district community development manager, said they are proud to be able to assist Pathways.

and#034;We continue to enjoy a wonderful relationship with Jenny and her team of dedicated staff and are honoured to be able to help secure Pathways.and#034;
