HILLCREST Primary School Grade R held their sports day recently.

The event was well supported by parents who braved the chilly day, dressed in their winter woolies.

Children participated in fun activities to develop hand, foot eye co-ordination with the PE instructors taking it and#034;old schooland#034; with sports like egg and spoon, stilt walking, shot put and bean bag toss. They exercised their gross motor skills with some ball skills thrown into the mix.

Each child competed in a flat race and were delighted to watch their parents participate in the parents’ race.

The children showed great sportsmanship encouraging and assisting their friends to finish. - Supplied
