NINE people were injured on Thursday morning after a taxi rolled down an embankment off Juba Road in Kwandengezi near Hillcrest.

ER24 paramedics and provincial services found a taxi lying on its roof near a residence. Occupants from the taxi were found standing around the vehicle.

It is understood that the driver lost control of the taxi, causing it to roll down an embankment and come to rest on its roof.

On assessment, paramedics found that nine people, including a 12-year-old, had escaped with only minor injuries.

Patients were treated for their injuries and then take to hospital for further assessment.

Local authorities were on scene for further investigation. - Supplied.
