A KUNDALILA Road resident is lucky to be alive after two men threw a huge rock through his window on Wednesday.

According to Hillcrest SAPS CPF public relations officer Steven King, the man managed to get up before it hit him.

He said that the owner of the main house heard his electric fence buzzer go off and Secure Link was dispatched.

“The tenant from the cottage was watching TV when he saw movement by the window. Two men threw a rock through the window and he managed to get up before it hit him. He went to fetch a speaker stand to use for self-defense when a second rock came crashing through the glass door,” said King.

“The men tried to gain entry however, Secure Link arrived and they fled.”

Unfortunately, no arrests have been made.

A case has been opened.

The tenant sustained a cut to his hand but no serious injuries.
