Top chefs for the Durban Good Food and Wine show... and a stunning line-up of top attractions

SOME of South Africa’s top chefs and food personalities will be appearing at the Good Food and Wine Show which takes place in Durban at the end of the month.

Joining international names such as Rick Stein, Reza Mahammed and MasterChef Australia 2014 winner Brent Owens is Joao Fonseca, best known to most of his fans as J’Something of MiCasa fame as well as SABC’s Lorna Maseko.

Other local chefs appearing at the show are Asha Maharaj, executive chef of Hartford House Constantijn Hahndiek, Durban Curry author Erica Platter, executive chef of the Oyster Box Hotel Kevin Joseph, head chef of the Sun Coast Towers Hotel Sandren Govender who is the spice sorcerer at its Jeera restaurant, Indrani Govender, Sheila Somers and Cape Town chef Peter Ayub.

In addition to the local and international chefs and a bigger-than-ever array of exhibitors, this year’s show will include a stunning line-up of top attractions including

A Baking Theatre, Book Store, Bok Zone, Celebrity Chefs Theatre, Day Market, Little Einstein’s Kidz Zone,

Romancing the Stove, SABC 3 Theatre, Sharks Players,

Short Chef, Skinny Chef, Slow Food Theatre, Speciality Street, Well i am Theatre and Wine Walk.

The Durban Good Food and Wine Show takes place from 30 October to 1 November1 at the Durban Exhibition Centre in association with Durban Tourism.

There will be book signings with all the celebrity chefs at the show. The visiting chefs will be staying at the Oyster Box Hotel.
