FOLLOWING an article in the Hillcrest Fever appealing to the public to adopt spots to keep the area beautiful, two areas along Old Main road have been adopted.

The Keep Hillcrest Beautiful Association chairperson Marge Mitchell said the one area is at the intersection of Old Main and Shongweni roads - the other is the verge in front of the Aids centre.

“KHBA is also most grateful to Miles Steenhuisen of Mass Landscapes, who has offered to donate plants to KHBA so that the adopted areas can be planted up.
“And thanks also to our committee member Eunice Barendse, who regularly donates plants from her garden,” she said.

“We are also proud of the Hillcrest community who want to be involved and are enthusiastic about maintaining and caring for this area for the benefit of those who live and work in, or visit this beautiful village of Hillcrest.”
