THE 2016 “Contrasts of Africa” calendar campaign was a resounding success with only more than 200 of the 5 000, A2 wildlife wall calendars remaining.
These will be sold for R100 from Compass Medical Waste Services, 8 Langford Road, Westville and from Crow in Yellowwood Park during February.

“We would like all the calendars to go into the hands of people who appreciate the magnificent wildlife our country has,’’ explains Ian Du Randt, MD of Compass Medical Waste Services and member of the UAAS committee.

“We have already started working on the 2017 calendar, so it is our goal to sell the remaining 2016 calendars during February, and in turn, continue to raise funds for the rescue, rehabilitation and release of wild animals. All proceeds from this campaign will go to Crow in March, which we are very excited about.’’

Claire Hodgkinson, director of Crow, says this money will be used to build a new baby antelope enclosure at its Yellowwood Park centre to accommodate the growing number of injured and orphaned antelope that are being admitted as a result of dog hunting and poaching.

To purchase your 2016 wall calendar, visit www.underanafricansky.co.za email orders@underanafricansky.co.za or phone 031 267 9700 and ask to be put through to Under an African Sky. Alternatively contact Crow on 031 462 1127.

Crow and the Under an African Sky committee thank everyone who bought a calendar, and in turn, helped animals in need.
