THE Longmynd Art Gallery is off the inner courtyard at Old Main Road in Hillcrest and supports emerging established local artists through regular events and exhibitions.

Longmynd Art Gallery's manager, Gail Dahl, says it has been running for a year and is a much-needed addition to the Upper Highway area arts community.

“We are delighted with the response from artists, art teachers, art lovers and art collectors to have a dedicated art gallery in their midst.

“We have had the privilege of displaying art by Nicole Pletts, Julia Forman, Charlene Boaden, Louise Hall, Jane Digby, and more.
“The gallery showcases an interesting, diverse selection of traditional, contemporary and modern art by early and mid career artists as well as fine investment art by SA Masters.

“Original bronze sculptures and ceramics by internationally acclaimed sculptors are on permanent display.

New works of art are regularly featured in the gallery and group and solo exhibitions take place throughout the year.

“We have had the privilege of displaying art by such artists as Nicole Pletts, Julia Forman, Charlene Boaden, Louise Hall, Jane Digby and many more.

We will be hosting our end-of-year exhibition – Gift of Art - opening from Wednesday 2 December until Wednesday 23 December,” said Dahl.

The gallery is open from 10.30am until 3.30pm from Tuesdays to Sundays.
