At last, some sanity on SABC shenanigans

2017-01-17 06:01

AT last there seems to be some sanity with regards to the communications portfolio taking a unanimous stand on the shenanigans of the SABC.

It is highly scandalous that an individual with a fake matric ends up being a chief operating officer with a salary of R4 million per annum.

Executive positions require degrees and years of experience in the related fields. With the cow-towing by a board that went along with the charade, the staff members on the board also need to be suspended as a fiduciary is placed on those who abuse public funds and positions.

Credit must go to the two board members who had the courage of their convictions to come out and tell the truth.

These two members did not have financial gain as their motive and South Africa thanks those soldiers who still believe in the rule of law and righteousness. Hlaudi Motsoeneng can now launch his own political party and try to be a rock star.

Jackson Mthembu must also be congratulated as one of the few in the ANC leadership to speak out, cocking a snoot at those who pay his salary.
