SEVEN people were injured when a bakkie overturned on the N3 near the Peacevale off-ramp in Hillcrest, on Thursday.

ER24 paramedics and other services arrived at the scene to find the bakkie lying on its side in the middle of the road. Several passengers, who were sitting in the back, were found walking around on the scene.

Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson, said: “Paramedics assessed the patients and found that seven had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found.

“The patients were treated for their injuries and were transported to Hillcrest Private and Life Westville Hospital.

“Traffic was heavily affected on the highway due to the collision,” he added.
