Brian Molefe’s progress

2017-06-06 06:00

IT seems that former MP Ek Kom Terug (I’m coming back) Brian Molefe has given SA tons of humour.

He has gone from being a CEO earning in the region of cost to company around R1 million a month to an annual salary of R1 million a year after a few visits to a shebeen in the Saxonwold area, a R600 m zero-risk loan, shedding a few tears, being a part-time MP and now back at Eskom.

Apparently, he cannot recall when or whether he resigned from Eskom but decided as CEO it’s okay to moonlight as an MP, until he realised that the R30 m pension was not coming through for eight months’ work.

So convincing is he that the chairperson of Eskom has defended him to the hilt.

As a businessperson, Ben Ngubane had made some huge business blunders in KZN so his acumen and fitness for Eskom’s chairmanship need to be seriously examined.

Molefe has really made a first-class fool of himself and is becoming more like another disgraced ANC member, Carl Niehaus (no house), given his accommodation sagas.

At least Pallo Jordan quit and disappeared into obscurity.

In fact, at some point some SA university should give him a doctorate, but that’s just my opinion.

As for SA, Eskom is too important to let a few amateurs and Saxonwold Shebeen Club members run it.

The summary of Eskom is no doubt tragic and once again more laughs. Molefe should take heed of this phrase: “Ek’s [nie] dom”.

Miskien is jy, maar nie ons nie.
