DUE to the generosity of 16 local businesses, is was possible for the Compass Cares’ 2018 Cats of Durban “kitten edition” calendar to be designed, printed and sold to raise much needed funds for the sterilisation of stray and feral cats.

Compass Cares, the corporate social investment (CSI) arm of Compass Medical Waste Services, has produced this calendar for two consecutive years and the A3, gift boxed, 2018 wall calendar is selling fast, for R150 each.

All funds raised goes to NPO Cats of Durban for their sterilisation programme as well as for educating the public on the benefits of well-maintained feral cat communities.

Every R500 raised pays for one cat sterilisation, which prevents over 2 000 unwanted kittens over a four year period, and approximately 2 000 000 unwanted kittens over an eight-year period.

Thanks to a total sponsorship of R160 000 by Print Connection, Imply IT, Compton Labels, BioScience Technologies, Durban Data Forms, Bruniquel & Associates, NoLogo Studios, Hellermann Tyton, Burble Pix, Momentum, Morgan M Logistics, Premier Scale Services, Koogan Plastics, VM Consulting, Land Survey Africa and the du Randt family from Compass Medical Waste Services, Compass Cares were able to produce the charity calendar, the perfect gift for family, friends, animal and cat lovers.

Each calendar page has a glossy photo with a caption telling the story of the stray or feral kitten featured.

The sponsors’ photo took place in front of a striking mural painted by talented local street artist Giffy Duminy. The mural is located at Mazarat Animal Rescue in Waterfall, who are also stockists of the Cats of Durban 2018 calendar.

To purchase a limited edition Cats of Durban 2018 calendar for R150 each (excluding postage), contact Dianne or Trenal on 031 267 9700 or at calendars@compass.za.net, alternatively visit www.compasswasteservi ces.co.za/calendars - Supplied.
