EACH February, The Robin Hood Foundation hosts a variety of community visits with its Month of Love campaign to spread love to the young and old in the community through their various outreach projects.

The first of its visits was to bless 40 gogos and mkulus, highlighted by The Christian Social Services (CSS), at Siyaphumula Elderly Day Care in rural Ntshongweni this week.

The elderly attend the day care for companionship, exercise, porridge and a hot meal each day, and they do sewing and crafts there, which they then sell to raise extra funds for their meals.

Imagine their joy when each gogo was unexpectedly gifted with a care package made by the Knitting with Love group and filled with knitted blankets, beanies, bed socks, toiletries and treats.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

• volunteer;

• bake for the visits; and

• pledge R20 to help Robin Hood “spread the love”.

If you’d like to get involved and help Robin Hood spread some love this February, please contact it for more information on info@robinhoodfoundation.co.za or to request its schedule of visits. — Supplied.
