CRESTHOLME’S Shaylee Sunders, is no ordinary six-year-old. This bubbly lass loves the lights, camera and stardom and aims to be a beauty queen when she is older.
Speaking to the Fever Shaylee’s mom, Chantal said that her daughters love for “walking the ramp” began at the tender age of four.
“One day, walking at a mall Shaylee was handed a flyer for Miss Upper Highway and she eagerly wanted to take part.
“We didn’t object and on the day we noticed that she was in her element and loved every part of it.
“Unfortunately our four year old didn’t win. She was placed third, however, and that didn’t slow her down as she couldn’t wait for the following year to enter again,” said Chantal.
Shaylee reached her dreams in the following year’s pageant and she was crowned Miss Upper Highway 2016.
The now six year old model has three titles in the short period of her modelling career.
“In 2017 she took the crown of Miss Glenwood and recently scooped Tiny Miss KwaZulu-Natal 2018,” said proud mom Chantal.
When chatting to the Fever, the happy young model said she feels “awesome” when walking the ramp.
“I feel like a star. I am happy and confident,” said Shaylee.
Shaylee said that she loves all the preparation and fuss that goes into the routine before she participates and will not change it at all.
“It makes me feel special and beautiful. I love doing this and I wish all girls my age can participate in these events, so they can feel like princesses too”.
