Dispose ofyour rubbish correctly

2017-02-07 06:01

THE Fever recently published an article on illegal dumping which I find to be very disturbing. I agree that it poses a serious health risk, but do you think that people care? Absolutely not. I live in the Newholmes area and always notice refuse bags that are thrown into the open field there. In the majority of the cases it is rubbish that is given either to domestic workers or gardeners to dispose of. They throw the bags in the field on their way home. Little do we realise that the dumping is actually the doing of the very residents who live in the area.

As long as the rubbish is far away from their homes, why should they care?

Do the residents expect the workers to take the rubbish home with them?

Why do they give them the bags in the first place?

Where do you expect them to get rid of the bags?

Why can’t these residents dispose of their rubbish in the normal way?

Either get rid of them via the normal refuse collection or, if it is garden waste, go to the dump site. (By the way, there is one in South Road, which allows you to get rid of garden waste only.)
