A MAN believed to be about 40 years old was killed when he lost control of the vehicle he was driving on the M13 in Field's Hill last Tuesday afternoon.

When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene they found the bakkie on its roof in the middle of the road. The driver was still in the vehicle.

Paramedics assessed the man. Sadly there was nothing they could do for him. He had succumbed to his injuries. The accident is still under investigation

In a separate incident that occurred on the M13 east bound, Dawncliffe, prior to the incident in Field's Hill, ER24 paramedics and other services attended to a patient, believed to be 19 years old, who sustained serious injuries when the vehicle rolled.

When paramedics arrived on scene they found the patient several metres away from the car.

The vehicle was lying on its side.

Paramedics treated the patient and transported him to hospital for further medical care. Police are investigating. - Supplied
