THE Friends of Kloof Library Forum will be hosting Andrew Pike at its next meeting at Kloof Junior Primary School at 6pm on March 23.

Pike is a maritime lawyer with over 30 years’ experience in the maritime industry and is currently head of the Bowman’s Ports, Terminals and Logistics Corridors Sector. He was part of the team that investigated the sinking of the Oceanos and his talk will be about the dramatic events surrounding the sinking in August 1991.

He is also a consultant in the logistics industry and accredited life coach. He is a past president of the Maritime Law Association of South Africa. He is the author of two published books: People Risks: A People-based Strategy for Business Success and The Talking Stick.
