“So when someone joins our Fitclub, we first do a wellness profile with them using a body monitor. We look at the excesses and deficiencies and make suggestions that will improve the body.

“We can tell if they are dehydrated, we check bone mass and check how many kilos of muscle each has, and so on. Together we set goals and daily work towards them.

“Over and above this we have programmes to ensure that each stays committed to achieving their long-term goals, step by step. We do clean-eating WhatsApp challenges where we introduce a new discipline each day for five days until they are become a habit.

“We keep them going for another 21 days and new habits develop, so becoming energised and happy sleep improves, social circles develop and results are obtained and maintained,” said Du Buisson.

She said one of their greatest achievements is a young man who lost 90kgs with the help of FitClub.

“The young man arrived at our Fitclub in May 2014, very shy, very large in size and most importantly, had a dream of losing enough weight to live a normal, active life.

“His health was at risk, his ankles and knees were taking strain from the excess weight, walking was becoming a challenge, employment almost impossible and many other negatives.

“We chatted about his goals and dreams, and he began day by day to slowly change some of his habits opting for healthier choices and exercising.

“Today he is 90kg lighter, super fit, confidant and an inspiration to many,” said Du Buisson.

FitClub offers free life-changing journeys.

“Together we achieve so much more.”
