MOVING to KwaNyuswa was the start of a new life for Goodness Nzama, who was trained to sew at the Embocraft Training Centre Trust and is now able to support her family with her income.

Nzama said Embocraft changed her life immensely. “I had love for sewing but I didn’t have the money to go and study,” said Nzama.

After she heard about the Embocraft Training Centre Trust, she didn’t hesitate to visit there and was astonished to learn that they were teaching sewing for free.

“I immediately registered as a student and, after my course, they even gave me a sewing machine to earn a living for myself,” she said.

“In 2009, I completed my course and was given a machine to sew while at home. However, the following year I was called in to come and teach sewing at the Trust.”

Almost seven years later, Nzama still teaches at the Trust and says that she is grateful to them for all that they have done for her.

She encouraged the public to continue donating towards the Trust as the funds donated are going towards uplifting the lives of those in the community.

“The Embocraft Training Centre Trust is helping to empower people. They can only do this with the help of the community,” she said.
