THE June Golden Paw Society meeting the SPCA heard from the well-known local nursery owner Bobby Collingwood. Collingwood has been a resident in the Kloof area for over 55 years after his Grandfather moved to Kloof from Vrede in 1897.

The aim of the Golden Paw Society is to welcome our supporters in as part of the SPCA family and keep them informed about the work undertaken by the Kloof and Highway SPCA in terms of Inspectorate activities, animal health care, care of animals in our shelter, outreach clinics and education to promote the humane treatment of all animals.

The Kloof and Highway SPCA extend an open invitation to all its supporters and members in the community who care about welfare of animals and who would like to become more actively involved with the society to join the Golden Paw Society.

The SPCA host a morning tea every month, on the last Thursday of the month. For more information please contact Tersia Taskes on or on 031 764 1212/3.
