Golden Paw Society welcomes you

2016-03-22 06:00

THE Kloof and Highway SPCA invites supporters and the community to its Golden Paw Society on 31 March at 9.30am at the tea garden (in the marquee) 29 Village Road, Kloof.

The intention of the society is to welcome supporters as part of the SPCA family and keep them informed about the work undertaken by the SPCA in terms of inspectorate activities, animals health care, care of animals in the shelter, outreach clinics and education to promote the humane treatment to all animals.

The SPCA hosts a morning tea every month where the community is given feedback on what has taken place over the past month.

At the March meeting attendees will hear from one of the SPCA’s longest serving volunteers, Sally Bennett, who will share why she has chosen to volunteer at the SPCA. She will also talk about her love and passion for animals and her reasons for leaving a legacy to the animals.

Attendees will also hear from one of the SPCA reception ladies, Sindy Gasa, who serves on the frontline of the SPCA. She will share some of her experiences of what happens every day in an animal welfare shelter.

All charity shops will be open for those who wish to go shopping before or after the tea, and guests will be invited for a guided tour around the animal shelter after the meeting.

The SPCA looks forward to having the community join it this month.

RSVP to Barbara Laubscher on 031 764 1212/3 or email by Tuesday 29 March. - Supplied.
