HILLCREST High top achiever was Jared Reuben with seven distinctions, 89.6% average, with 98% for mathematics.

Madison Moulton achieved six distinctions, 88% average, with 100% for visual arts. Sijabulile Ntuli had six distinctions, 84.9% average and took German as an additional language subject. Shannon Viljoen also achieved six distinctions, 84.7% average, 94% in visual arts and Danielle Staub had seven distinctions, 83.6% average.

The school had an overall pass rate of 99.45% and a Bachelor pass rate of 82.4%.

Mrs D. Knight, deputy principal, Hillcrest High School said: "I am delighted with the results that the matric 2015 class has achieved. I especially want to thank our staff for their efforts that helped make these results possible.
“We wish our young women and men the best for their futures, and in the words of Martin L King Jnr: ‘Intelligence plus character is the goal of true education’. So remember matrics, as you dive into wider pools, go well and never stop learning or doing your best to keep developing true character." - Supplied.
